Friends of the Rockabilly Slap-Doublebass can look forward to a real treat.

Didi Beck, the author of the book "Rockabilly Slapbass - a slight introduction",

the man who was the godfather of the development of the popular Shadow rockabilly double bass pickup RB-pro, and the bassist who has played over 6000 concerts with the band Boppin' B, will give one of his very rare workshops.

The workshop is aimed mainly at those who are a little more advanced, and revolves around various playing techniques (triple slap, drag slap, quadruple slap, pull offs, etc.) and harmonic aspects (church scale system).

Basically the playing posture of the participants will be discussed, and different styles will be worked on and solo aspects will be discussed. Pickups, strings, amplifiers, equalizing are other important topics.

When: Monday, 29.05.2023 from 12.00 p.m. – ca. 4.00 p.m.

Minimum number of participants: 6 persons

If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we unfortunately have to cancel the workshop in time before the event.

Didi will bring his new album "Ultrafetter Bass" to the workshop and will be happy to sign it. For your information: The album contains 13 German Rock'n'Roll and Rockabilly songs, all written by Didi.
