Jake Calypsos Crazy Country Blues Sideproject
The roots are the salt in the Rock’n‘Roll soup. With this side project Hervé Loison (a.k.a.Jake Calypso) pays tribute to some of his musical heroes and their roots. Those who like John Lee Hooker, Dr. Isaiah Ross "The Harmonica Boss", Hasil Adkins, Slim Harpo, Hank Williams, will love the Wild Boogie Combo. So be prepared for a fabulous Old Time Music Madness crossover when Jake Calypso takes the stage with the Wild Boogie Combo.
Young, wild & authentic, the Rockabilly quartet from Emilia Romagna
They were the big surprise at the 2018 Tear it Up Weekender in Medulin, Croatia. Almost no one knew the quartet from Forli in Italy at the time. But instead of "old hats", pardon "shoes", the four young Rockabillies offered a power-loaded live show that left many spectators spitting. Flaming applause and numerous encores were the logical consequence. Now there is also an opportunity in Walldorf to convince yourself of these qualities.
The Psychobilly Horror Ska Orchestra from Wuppertal
The six people from Wuppertal have been in the show business as a band since 1997. They combine several different styles that seem difficult to combine at first glance: Psychobilly, Rockabilly, Swing and Ska. But Paddlecel manages the crossover surprisingly well and stylish. The result is a dark, bubbling mixture that also has soundtrack qualities. Would you like a taste? Then visit the excellent website:
Annie and her boys are back in Walldorf!

The ingenious men‘s Rock’n‘Roll Trio is completed by the charismatic front woman Annie Leopardo whose powerful voice knocks everyone out. With their great musical talent and just as big heart, the four have gained a loyal following across Europe and overseas. We are happy to have the Booze Bombs back in Walldorf!
The Doo-Wop sensation from Barcelona!
The four smart men and the charming lady from beautiful Barcelona are clearly among the best contemporary Doo-Wop acts worldwide. Their vocal qualities and polyphonic harmony chants combined with an authentic stage show revive the magic of the American vocal groups of the 1950s and 1960s. Curtain up for the Crema Catalana of the Doo-Wop!
Fine, fine, superfine Roots Rock’n’Roll from LA!
And another, if not the Super Roots Rock’n‘Roll Band: Big Sandy (Robert Williams) has been active with his Fly-Rite Boys for over 30 years. The band from the Los Angeles area, with their mix of Honky-Tonk, Western-Swing, Rockabilly, Rock’n‘Roll, Rhythm’n‘Blues, Soul and Doo-Wop, have now performed well over 3,000 live shows, including appearances in the Grand Grand Ole Opry in Nashville or Conan O Briens Late Night Show. They had the honor to accompany stars like George Jones, Johnny Cash, and Morrisey. The key to their music is undoubtedly authenticity, which they bring across with incredible ease. And no matter where Big Sandy & the Fly-Rite Boys appear, they always vouch with their good name for a full broadside of real Old Time Rock’n‘Roll. And the audience always leaves the concert hall happier than they have entered it.
