You can meet these and more great artists and admire their artwork at our Weekender.
I have been a passionate draftsman since my youth. Wherever a drawing, lettering or a creative idea is sought, I can not keep my hands off it.
Don't just talk - do it!
Under this motto, I gained experience in countless techniques and materials, deliberately ignoring the technical possibilities of the "computer world" wherever possible.
I am now looking forward to doing the dear long day exactly what I feel called to do:
In the past 8 years, the craft "Pinstriping & CustomPainting" has come to the fore: A traditional way to embellish motorcycles and cars hands-free. This originally goes back to the work of the professional liners of the early 1950s, who often lined body parts in the manner of an assembly line.
In the following decades, however, the freehand artists were replaced by mechanical alternatives.
Nonetheless, the freehand techniques have developed virtually underground in limitless variations. In addition to the pure lines, labels and complex graphics were added - and this in the backyard garages and hobby workshops of creative free spirits, far from systematic economic exploitation. To date, the scene cannot be forced into a clearly defined job description.
There are currently about a hundred professional stripers and many amateurs in the United States and around 200 practitioners in Finland. Great Britain follows in third place. There is no information on Germany ....
Over time, I was able to find my own style of practice and implementation. Explanations are difficult, just look at them.
In addition to vehicles, helmets, bottles, leather jackets, countless tools and surfaces made of glass and wood can also be painted in this "lowbrow art" - decoration of a special kind for your own booth, for commercial purposes or as a fancy gift.
Anyone can stick ... can it be something different? Signage in shops, restaurants or in the home in a handmade manner - just like in the good old days.
My viewing workshop is located at Teichmatt 1 in 79689 Maulburg.
Visitors and interested parties are always welcome. (Opening hours daily 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.)
Since 2004 with the sword tractor on the front line, known in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and at the Viva Las Vegas Festival in the USA, one of the few full-time pinstripers in Europe!
